SAILORS WHISK BRUSH great for sandy toe cleaning or clearing crumbs from the table

A nautical whisk was used on sailing ships hundreds of years ago to clear tables after meals.

Generally made from pieces of rope no longer suitable for normal use.

Smaller nautical swabs were used for washing dishes and much bigger swabs
were used for swabbing the decks.

The one pictured here would have been used for brushing tables after meals.
Measures 250mm (10 inches) overall.

All my pieces are made using traditional knotting techniques by sailors from centuries past.

This natural nautical swab features a nice diamond knot.

Made from 18mm top quality manila rope.

Very versatile little whisk to use in kitchen or anywhere around the home really.
